Why Choose This Safari

This 11-day Uganda safari is the ultimate way to experience the country’s diversity. It combines primates, wildlife, landscapes, and culture into one seamless journey, making it ideal for travelers seeking a complete African safari experience.

Day 1 Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked up by our tour guide who will transfer you to the booked accommodation (20 minutes from the airport). Here, you will rest, have dinner, sleep, and prepare for your journey around Uganda.

Day 2 Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls is located 300km from Kampala (a 6-hour drive). We pass by Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for lunch and to see the rhinos. We then proceed to Pakuba Safari Lodge for check-in. Pakuba is strategically located inside the national park which makes it easy for game drives.

Day 3 Game Drive and Boat Ride to the Top of the Falls
At 06h30, you will get ready to head out on the early-morning game drive to spot the wildlife. At 14h00, we take a boat ride to the top of Murchison Falls to see the rest of the animals as well as waterbirds. You will then have lunch and return to the hotel.

Day 4 Nature Walk – Hoima
Depart from Murchison Falls National Park and proceed on the 2-hour trip to the Hoima community for a nature walk in the Bugoma Forest. You will follow the local guide who is well informed about their culture. You can’t mention kingdoms and culture without speaking of the great Kabalega who was once the King of Bunyoro!

Day 5 Evening Game Drive Queen Elizabeth National Park
The departure from Hoima city to Queen Elizabeth National Park is a long journey. We will have a stop for lunch in Fort Portal, the city named after the former governor of Uganda, Sir Gerrard Portal. We then proceed to Twin Lakes in Queen Elizabeth to unpack our bags before going on a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. Our overnight stay is at the Twin Lakes in the first sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 6 Early Morning Game Drive
It is not a game drive if you don’t search for the tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here, you will also see a lot of other wildlife. You will spend the night at Enjojo Lodge which is located within the park, bringing you closer to the wildlife.

Day 7 Ishasha Wilderness
Go on an early-morning drive at 06h30 in the Ishasha sector. At 10h30, we depart from Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the gorilla families in Uganda. Bwindi is also home to the former Bushmen, currently called the Batwa, who first settled in Bwindi before the gorillas were discovered.

Day 8 Bwindi Forest
We arrive at Rushaga Gorilla Camp to have lunch, rest and prepare for the evening hiking around Bwindi Forest where you get to meet different people. Experience nature, a waterfall, and a walk around the forest for 1 hour. Return to the hotel and prepare for the gorilla tracking tomorrow morning.

Day 9 Gorilla Tracking
In the early morning, prepare for the gorilla tracking. Since we can’t dictate the time it will take, we pack our lunch packs and embark on the gorilla-tracking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After the tracking, we visit the Batwa community in the evening and see why they are unique from other people in the country.

Day 10 Transfer to Entebbe
After a delicious breakfast at Rushaga Gorilla Camp, get ready to return to Entebbe. We will have lunch in Mbarara and then proceed to Entebbe where we will spend a night at the 2 Friends Hotel. We’ll have dinner and prepare for the last activity in the morning.

Day 11 Mabamba and Departure
We will transfer to Mabamba Bay by boat for a shoebill experience and then prepare for our departure.
