This is a very well preserved Schutzpolizei der Gemeinden (Municipal Protection Police) officers visor cap, constructed of smooth police green wool with a dark brown wool cap band. Three bands of woven wine red Waffenfarbe piping ring the cap, with a single band at the top and one each at the top and bottom of the cap band. Pinned into the peak of the cap is a zink tri colour cockade with a red felt
