Itinerary

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport depending on your time of arrival. You will be met and assisted by a Safari Chapter representative. Transfer to Entebbe for overnight at The Boma Hotel (BB)
The Boma Hotel is Entebbe’s original and most exclusive hotel, set in tropical gardens in a leafy suburb, a few minutes’ drive from Entebbe International Airport. The rooms combine the modern comforts one expects today with the charm and character of the original 1940’s home.

Transfer by road to first Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for 1 hour encounter with the Rhinos. Later you will drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Evening Game drives. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (LDBB). The lodge is located in the north west of Uganda over looking one of nature's best kept secrets, the River Nile, on its journey from its source at Lake Victoria to join Lake Albert – here it is suddenly channeled into a gorge only six meters wide, and cascades 43 meters below.

The earth literally trembles at Murchison Falls - one of the world's most powerful flows of natural water.
Paraa Safari Lodge offers a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure. Each of the rooms is a haven of style and serenity, complete with balcony and private view.

Fly by scheduled flight to Kibale Forest Park (1315/1415hrs). Primate Lodge Kibale’s principal edge is the location, tucked deep in the forest and right next door to the starting point for Chimpanzee tracking excursions.
The seven mid-level Forest Cottages are private and en-suite with spacious bathrooms, 2x Twin size Beds or 1x King Size Bed as well as a spacious veranda over-looking the rain-forest with lounge chairs.
Overnight at Primate Lodge standard cottages (LDBB)
Kibale is Uganda's primates paradise and home to over 13 different species of primates.

Today we will go chimp tracking in Kibale Forest National Park. After our briefing, we embark on the chimp tracking which takes about 2 to 3 hours depending on where the chimps are. On the trek you can see other primates such as grey-cheeked Mangabeys along with red tailed and blue monkeys. Your expert guide will share the secrets of the forest' flora and fauna, ensuring that the trail is both informative and enjoyable.

In the afternoon we Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park (about 3 hrs drive). The drive takes us past Volcanic crater lakes and on a clear day one can see the famous “Mountains of the Moon”, The Rwenzori Mountains. Late afternoon we take gamedrives. Mweya Lodge is located on a peninsula in the heart of the spectacular Queen Elizabeth national Park, with breathtaking, game and some of the best bird watching in East Africa (about 500 different bird species). Late afternoon we take a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, 32 kms long. Here you get up close to the Hippos.

This morning we take Game drives in the park. Then, we fly by scheduled flight to Kihihi airstrip where we are transferred to Bwindi by Safari Landcruiser. Bwindi covers 32,000 ha and is known for its exceptional biodiversity, with more than 160 species of trees and over 100 species of ferns. Many types of birds and butterflies can also be found there, as well as many endangered species, including the mountain gorilla. There are 23 of the 24 Albertine rift endemics including the African green broadbill, bar tailed trogon and other beautiful forest species.
Silverback Lodge is only a 5-minute walk to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters and has sweeping views of the
valley and forests that surround it. The lodge boasts impressive views of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a 124-square-mile UNESCO site home to approximately 350 mountain gorillas (half of the world’s remaining population).
Overnight Silverback Lodge (LDBB).

Day 7 :
Trek day

Today after an energizing breakfast, you will embark on your gorilla trek. Before 8 am report to the ranger station for registration and briefing by one of the rangers; the guides will then lead you through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from half an hour to 7 hours – a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking boots. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rain forest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas – sadly enough there are only about 650 of these beautiful creatures left. You are allowed exactly one hour with the gorillas before returning to the base station. This is the highlight of your safari.
Overnight at Silverback Lodge (LDBB).

This morning you take a scheduled flight at 0825hrs/1125hrs, and transfer by speedboat to Ngamba Chimp Island where chimps rescued from captivity are looked after, then later transfer to the Airport for your onward evening departure flight to Addis at 1845hrs(BB) Dayrooms for your convenience at The Boma Guesthouse. Leave for the airport based on departure time of outward flight.
