On this day, you will visit Ssezibwa falls, know about the history of the place and continue to Mabira rain forest for a walk. Lunch will be enroute and we continue to Jinja, visiting the Mahatma Ghandi monument and we also take a boat to the source of the Nile.

This facility has air conditioning in almost all the rooms, DSTV and speedy WIFI. It’s located only 5 mins walk from the rafting club and the horseback riding area is also close. After your breakfast, you will head straight to Mount Elgon and do a one-day hike to the Mountain. For a good hiker, you may be able to get to Sasa camp. Return to the base and continue to Sipi.

Sipi Heritage Lodge: Located on the foothills of Mt. Elgon with spectacular views of the 3 Sipi water falls, this facility has a comfortable, fire side dining, a reading lounge plus a well-stocked bar with wines, bears and spirits. It’s also a home of different bird species, nice arabica coffee and Magical Sunsets.

This will be a day for hiking to the Sipi waterfalls. Lunch can be at the lodge or enroute. But after, you may go for an OPTIONAL Abseiling. Overnight stay as above.

On this day, you will have breakfast and go for a game drive in Pian Upe game reserve. Expect to see some animals like leopard, eland, heart beast, zebras, cheetah, spotted hyenas among others. You will then proceed to Moroto.

This facility is located in the one of the most remote areas of the country that was never thought to become a tourism destination at any one time. You will have breakfast and then go for hiking to mountain Moroto and also do a cultural visit to the ethnic groups in the region if time allows.

Kidepo valley national park is a true African wilderness. Located in the north-eastern corner of Uganda along the international frontier with South Sudan in Kaabong District. It is a home to over 86 mammal species including lion, cheetah, leopard, bat-eared fox, giraffe, striped hyena, aardwolf, caracal, lesser kudu, Chandlers Mountain reedbuck, klipspringer, dikdik and bright gazelle, Beisa Oryx and roan antelope and hunting dog as well as almost 500 bird species. You will an evening Game drive and later relax at the lodge.

On this day, you do a full day activity. You will you can go for a community walk and visit the Karamojong families (the Ik tribe) for a cultural experience. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Breakfast, go for a game drive where you will spot lions, cheetah, leopard, bat-eared fox, giraffe, striped hyena, aardwolf, caracal, lesser kudu, Chandlers Mountain reedbuck, klipspringer, dik-dik and bright gazelle, Beisa Oryx and roan antelope among others. Or you can go for a community walk in the afternoon and visit the Karamojong families to experience the culture. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Murchison Falls National Park lies in Masindi district in north western Uganda. It is named after the Murchison waterfall where the waters of the majestic Nile River squeeze through a narrow gorge, only 7 meters wide, before plunging 43 meters below. The park is about 340 kilometres by road from Kampala, Uganda’s capital city.

Have breakfast and later go for a morning game drive. While on the game drive, you will spot animals like Zebras, Impala, Buffaloes, Buffalo, Topi, and Eland among others. In the afternoon you will continue with the drive back to Kampala, briefly stopping at the equator for photography.

Drop off will be at your residence in Kampala or at the airport.

Travel Time: 4hrs 35mins (245 km)

You will drive to the top of the falls and wind up with a game drive as you proceed to your accommodation for the night.  Lunch will be enroute. while on the game drive, you may spot animals like Buffalos, elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, kobs, Impalas among others.

Pakuba Safari Lodge:

Pakuba Safari Lodge is nestled on the Eastern Bank of the Albert Nile in Murchison Falls National Park overlooking the spectacular River Nile. The lodge location affords panoramic views of the mighty River Nile, sweeping vistas of the surrounding riverine forest below and captivating surrounding wilderness where travelers get the chance to sight Giraffes, Elephants, Antelopes and occasionally Leopards that pay regular visits to the lodge. Our tastefully furnished rooms offer comfort, style and serenity.

Breakfast, go for a game drive, and return for lunch. In the afternoon get on a boat to the bottom of the falls. You might also spot crocodiles, Hippos, elephants and many others, can hike to the top of the falls. Various birds might be spotted too, like the hornbills, bee-eaters, kingfishers and storks, Egyptian plover, Chestnut crowned sparrow weaver, Rock pratincole, Red winged grey warbler, Pulvus illadopsis among others. Accommodation as above.

This Forest is seated on 401 Square meters and it’s being managed by the National Forest Authority. There are different activities that can be done in this forest. You may visit the tea plantations, OR do a forest walk among others.

Overnight at Bugoma Jungle Lodge: Meal Plan: FB:  Travel Time: 3hrs 30 mins(200km)

After breakfast, you will start the drive to Kibale National Park. This park is about 766 km2 in size with primarily moist evergreen forest. It’s located in the Southern part of Uganda and it’s a home to approximately 325 species of birds which include the olive long-tailed cuckoo, Western Green tinker bird, African and Green-breasted and African Grey Parrot. It is also a home to 13 species of primates, at least 60 other species of mammals. The visits to the park are mainly paid to the endangered chimpanzees and while visiting the Chimpanzees, you can get to see other primates including the red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey, Uganda Mangabey, the Ugandan Red Colobus, and the L’Hoest’s Monkey. On arrival at the lodge, you will have lunch and later in the afternoon you can relax or do a community walk.

Turaco tree tops Lodge:

It is a Semi Luxe lodge is located in Kibale Forest region close to Nkingo and Bigodi Villages. It’s main building includes the restaurant, a cozy fire place, a bar and an outside terrace. There’s also a swimming pool where on can relax after the day’s activity. the first floor has wonderful views of the Kibale forest and the snowcapped Rwenzori mountains. You will enjoy the feel of nature while at Turaco tree tops Lodge.

Today you will go for Chimpanzee tracking. This will be after you have had breakfast and after getting a briefing at the park headquarters. While tracking chimps you might spot other animals like the red and blue duikers, bush pigs, warthogs, buffalo and elephants. Various birds can also be spotted while on the trek. Return to the lodge for lunch. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge as above.

Today after breakfast you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In western Uganda and covers an area of about 1,978 square kilometres. Within this park there is Lake Edward and Lake George and the Kazinga channel. The vegetation in the park is mostly open savannah, green meadows, semi- deciduous tropical forests, dense equatorial rain forest and dense papyrus swamps. On arrival you will have lunch, and either relax at the lodge or go for an afternoon game drive. You might spot animals like elephants, Bufalloes, Impalas, Uganda Kobs and lions. Various birds can be spotted too and they include the African skimmer, Chapins flycatcher, Pink-backed pelicans, Papyrus canary, Shoebill stork, martial eagle. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Overnight stay at Marafiki Safari Lodge: Meal Plan: BB:  Travel Time: 2hrs15mins(100km)

After breakfast you will go for a game drive. You might spot animals like elephants, Bufalloes, Impalas, Uganda Kobs and lions. Various birds can be spotted too and they include the African skimmer, Chapins flycatcher, Pink-backed pelicans, Papyrus canary, Shoebill stork, martial eagle. Later return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will go for a boat ride where you will spot Hippos, Crocodiles, various water birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

You will then transfer to Ishasha sector to view the tree climbing lions. Lunch and overnight stay will be at the Lodge.

Ishasha Jungle Lodge

Ishasha Jungle Lodge is located 2km off Katokye Gate of Queen Elizabeth National Park along River Ntungwe. Its surrounded by riparian forest vegetation and acacias Savannah. Ishasha Jungle Lodge is a small eco-friendly lodge, entirely made with local materials and African art, with its raised en-suite wooden deck cottages, spacious rooms and bathroom, all finished with canvas. It’s restaurant offers international standard menu and dining area.

On this day, you will go for a game drive through Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth specifically to watch the tree climbing lions but while on this search, other animals may spot too. You will continue the drive to Bwindi national park in the south-western part of Uganda next to the Virunga National Park and on the edge of the Albertine Rift. Bwindi national park is a home to various animal and bird species. This includes over 214 species of birds and 120 species of mammals. Bwindi national park is well known for its endangered mountain Gorillas. Apart from the gorillas there are other animals like the ‘Hoest’s monkey, African elephant, African green broadbill, Grauer’s rush warbler, Chaplin’s flycatcher, African giant swallowtail among others. Lunch will be enroute.

Overnight stay at Haven Lodge: Meal Plan: Full board: Travel Time: 1hr 45mins (55 km)

Haven Lodge:

The Haven Lodge a community owned facility therefore all the profits made, are given back to the community. The facility has 8 fully furnished and well-designed cottages and 1 family cottage. The rooms overlook the impenetrable Forest giving every client a magical feel of nature. Sometimes, the gorillas move close to the Lodge and clients may have a chance to view the gorillas again. The Haven is a midrange Lodge offering very good services.

Day 19: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park- Gorilla trekking day

An early morning breakfast, go for a briefing at the park headquarters, where guides and rangers will escort you to the into the forest to begin the Gorilla tracking activity which takes 2-10 hours depending on the movements of these gorillas. Other animals and birds might be spotted too and these include the l’Hoest’s monkey, African elephant, birds like the African green broadbill, Grauer’s rush warbler, Chaplin’s flycatcher, African giant swallowtail among others. After tracking, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Today you will visit Lake Mburo National Park. It is in the western part of Uganda. Have lunch on arrival and later go for a boat ride, get to see hippos and crocodiles and various water birds like the rare shoebill stock, Pelicans, Black crake, Heron, cormorant, fish eagle and many others. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Have breakfast and later go for a morning game drive. While on the game drive, you will spot animals like Zebras, Impala, Buffaloes, Buffalo, Topi, and Eland among others. In the afternoon you will drive back to Kampala. You may briefly stop at the equator for photography. Drop off will be at your residence in Kampala or at the airport.
